When it comes to video processing, the Faroudja

CDi Cinema (Directional Correlational

einterlacing) video processor offers several

advantages. This processor can accept any video

ignal, regardless of the source resolution, and

pscale it to 1080p to match the native resolution

of your high-definition display. What’s more, DCDi

Cinema effectively removes video artifacts such as

agged edges during the video signal deinterlacing

rocess. You get to enjoy smooth progressive scan

video images, even for fast-moving sports and

action scenes.

Connection of Optional Onkyo Dock

A proprietary Universal Port located on the rear

side of the TX-NR807 lets you connect an optional

UP-A1 Dock for the iPod. A key advantage of the

Universal Port is that it accepts video and audio

signals through the same cable that sends a power

supply from the receiver to the devices.

Remote Control with Onscreen Setup

and Macro Presets for Four Activities

The TX-NR807’s remote controller offers the

convenience of controlling a wide range of other

devices connected to the receiver. You can select

your connected devices from an on-screen list and

pre-program your desired settings for each device;

the receiver itself can then send these settings

automatically to the remote controller. Furthermore,

the TX-NR807 lets you set up macro presets for up

to four activity modes, which you can control via

mode-key LEDs on the remote controller. A single

button-press of “My Movie”, for example, can

simultaneously turn on the receiver, display, and

DVD player to your pre-programmed settings and

start playing a disc automatically.
